WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates is a low impact way to exercise which improves your core strength, balance, flexibility and range of movement.

It is great for toning your whole body and importantly it has benefits for the mind too as you work on coordination, relaxation and breathing techniques in every session. 

 

You might be curious as you have seen photos of celebrities who do pilates, or perhaps because you know that the England football team use it in their training sessions. 

Or maybe you have heard that models in their late 60s do pilates to stay active and working and that people take up pilates at any age.  

 

Or perhaps you are just like me, someone who’s been around a bit had a few things going on and wanted to find a way to be strong and toned and to move well without pain. 

That’s where pilates comes in, it works to restore your natural posture, joint range of movement and functionality so you can do what you want to do whilst adding in strength, tone and flexibility benefits and for some, a bit of a cardio workout too!
